For Lublin, but also for the whole Polish traditional karate, this is a historic opportunity, emphasises the head of world karate:
This year, for the first time, we will try to unite the karate world. The first World Traditional Karate-Do Championships will take place in Lublin. It is obvious that the tournament takes place in Lublin, because karate has been present in Poland in general for many years. One of the strongest countries in karate is actually Poland. I have a duty to postulate for it because I am also a bit Polish myself. This is also my homeland and I have to do something for the country. I would like to thank the President of the PZKT, Mr Maciejewski and the Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship, Jarosław Stawiarski. They understand our intentions and this is very good for the future of karate – said Ilija Jorga, president of the World Traditional Karate-do Union.
